What Does an IOP Supervisor Do? As an Intensive Outpatient
Program (IOP) Supervisor with Lower Keys Medical Center, you will
spend your day
- Conducting intake assessments to determine client eligibility
for participation in the IOP program.
- Interviewing clients and their families and coordinating and
planning programs and activities to meet their social and emotional
- Providing crisis intervention and assisting families in
understanding the implications and complexities of the medical
situation and its impact on their lifestyle.
- You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish both short term and long term goals.
- You will work under general supervision, typically reporting to
the Behavioral Health Director, yet a certain degree of creativity
and latitude is required.

Which Qualifications Do You Need? In order to set you up for
success, you need the basics of
- A Master's Degree in Social Work or an RN license is
- Experience in creation of behavioral health group program
curriculum and in leading mental health groups.
- Familiarity with a variety of the behavioral health field's
concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Two years to four years of experience in behavioral health that
includes assessing clients, developing treatment plans, and
developing group curriculum as well as leading groups, either
inpatient or IOP, as an RN or as a social worker.
