Job Description Job Description Phlebotomist – Patient Services Representative (Traveler) Alternate / Related Job Titles Traveling Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR) Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist Clinical Phlebotomist Patient Care Phlebotomist Location & Onsite Flexibility Key West, FL Onsite (Traveling role; assignments may vary based on business needs) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 5 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: $34/hour Shift / Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday Schedule Flexibility: Weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required Position Overview The Patient Services Representative (PSR) serves as the face of the organization for patients seeking routine care or life-defining health insights. This role is responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen processing while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, confidentiality, and customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties & Responsibilities Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures Explain procedures clearly and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing accurately and safely Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling Maintain required records and documentation with strict attention to confidentiality Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor Maintain a safe and professional work environment Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and data accuracy Promote a positive organizational image with patients, clients, coworkers, and the public Required Experience 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience required Ability to provide error-free work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Required Skills Strong attention to accuracy, safety, and patient confidentiality Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently Superior customer service and communication skills Sound judgment and ability to make decisions based on established procedures Dependability, punctuality, and accountability Additional Requirements Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (rideshare/bus not considered reliable transportation) Flexibility to work multiple locations with minimal notice Must be available for scheduled shifts and remain for the entire shift Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination Training locations may vary based on trainer availability Credentials / Licensure State of Credentials/Licenses Required: N/A Benefits Medical Insurance Vision Insurance Dental Insurance 401(k) Retirement Fund About The Company Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
